Week of 6/25

The Willows have been very into dressing up this week as animals. They seemed to have lots of fun pretending to be these different things. We talked about what these animals ate (polar bears-fish, cows-grass, bees-nectar, monkeys-banana, etc.)  how they sound, and even the things they did (cows graze, dragons breath fire, dinosaurs stomp, flowers bloom, etc.) Here are some pics from throughout their week!
Claire thought she looked so funny after looking in the mirror

Alice insisted on putting the dinosaur head on while still wearing the cow.

Dylan as a "baby bee". She just HAD to put the party shoes on. She says "Byee"

                                                                           "RAWR!" -Dinosaur Grant

"Terrific TWOsDay"
As the Willows turn 2, they have some days designated for them to do different activities that challenge them and engage them in more complex conversation and vocabulary. On this day, we borrowed the magnetic boards that allow them to dress their people. We talked about where the people are going based on what they were wearing. We also talked about if the clothes they chose were appropriate for different weather conditions.

Wednesday 6/27

                                                                 Grant: "It's a door"
Willows are constantly working on "toys are for sharing" and taking turns

                                  Claire: "Glasses!"
                                                                  Alice: "Cheese!"

Thursday 6/28

Friday 6/29
Alice realized the trains "stuck together"
Claire had two favorite trains and was very happy to put her track together by herself. "Me do it!"

Casey was very proud of himself for each piece he put together to make his long track.

Ollie working to get the two train tracks together. I described it as putting together a puzzle. "You have to make it fit"

                                                                     Got it Ollie!
Julia was enjoying sticking the two magnetic trains together.

Grant waited very patiently for one of his friends to be done with this green train and was very happy to get a turn with it.

Dylan was not very into trains. She was offering all of friends something to drink.. Thanks Dylan!
